We are proud to announce that TAKT organized the first Conference on “Gender-based violence in sports” and publicly talked on this sensitive topic. The Conference was organized in partnership with the National Network for violence against women and domestic violence and the Agency for Youth and Sports, supported by the U.S. Embassy in Macedonia. We touched a sensitive topic that has not been discussed previously in public. Part of the female athletes shared their personal experiences with the kind of violence they faced during the sports careers. The discussion resulted in conclusions and recommendations in prevention of violence against women in sport.
