StressLess – A Youth Initiative within Sport4Resilience!

May 27, 2026

As part of the Sport4Resilience project, young people implemented their own initiative, “StressLess”, through which they carried out both theoretical and field-based activities aimed at helping participants cope with stress more effectively, build personal resilience, and better manage their emotions.

Through interactive sessions, discussions, and practical activities, participants explored how stress affects everyday life, relationships with others, self-confidence, and decision-making.

Special attention was also given to discrimination as a factor that can negatively impact young people’s mental well-being by creating feelings of exclusion, insecurity, and pressure.

The activities enabled young people to learn how to better recognize and understand their emotions, as well as how to express them in a healthy and constructive way.

Through teamwork, sharing experiences, and learning together, participants developed empathy, mutual support, non-violent communication skills, and a greater awareness of the importance of an inclusive environment.

With this initiative, young people demonstrated that caring for mental well-being, building resilience to stress, and combating discrimination are important steps toward creating a community in which every young person feels accepted, safe, and valued.

The project is co-funded by AFD – Agence Française de Développement.
